Hello! Looking for a therapist? I've been there.
The search for the right therapist can be an overwhelming process. You may be wading through therapist websites and profiles searching for someone who specializes in a certain issue, someone you can trust, and someone who simply “gets” you.
I want to make it easy for you to get the information you need. Here is a succinct summary of what I do:
My name is Nicole "Lynn" Nishimura and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT #122236) and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC #11594) in the state of California.
I provide online individual therapy sessions via video conferencing, also known as telehealth, to adults (18 y.o. +) located in the state of California. I do not do in-person therapy sessions. At this time, I do not offer couples or family therapy.
According to this report by SAMHSA, compared with other racial groups, Asians are the least likely to reach out for mental health support. If you are an Asian American seeking therapy, please see this note on my Focus page.
My practice is inclusive and welcoming to all gender identities, sexual orientations, racial-ethnic identities, countries of origin, religions, and abilities and I have experience providing therapy in the LGBTQ community.
That’s the short answer. Please visit my about and services pages for more detailed information. I strongly encourage an initial video call consultation so we can meet and see if we are a good fit. If you decide you would like to meet for a free 15-minute consultation or have questions, please visit my contact page.
